When your child turns 18

When your child graduates from highschool

There is a rumor that says you have to keep paying if your child goes to college.  That is not TRUE!!  Only if you agree with the other parent that you will pay child support until your child finishes college or it is the divorce decree that 

one or both parents agree to pay for support while your child is in college.

The attorney general charges for processing the payment.  If you pay late they will charge you interest.  If you pay by payroll deduction your company will charge.  If you pay online there is a fee for that as well

if your income changes request for a modification by filing at the County clerk office and you dont need an attorney to do that.  You pay to file a petition and you can down load the forms online @harriscountyfamily.com

You can file for a hearing without a lawyer you would just need to prove your case or prove a change income or request a review after three years if your income has changed

You can request a hearing by filing at the Harris county district clerk office and you do not need a lawyer to do that.  You pay the fees and download the form online
